Ana Mata, Janus, 2024, acrylic and oil on aluminium, 20 x 36 cm
The exhibition “Nymphs and Fauns” brings together paintings and prints with echoes of ancient narratives, biographical stories and a certain idea of loving tension – by being a look at what is seductive in nature, in the appeal of the floral or in the fluidity of rivers and moods, that are so present in the tradition of the history of painting. This is evoked unashamedly, calling for a timeless dance between the feminine and the masculine.
